How the Organic Keywords Finder Will Work

Enter any domain name and the tool queries the SE Ranking keyword position database, which tracks millions of domains' Google rankings refreshed on a rolling basis. Within seconds you receive the full list of keywords the domain ranks for in the target country, sorted by estimated monthly traffic contribution by default.

For each keyword, the report shows the current Google position, the search URL ranking for that keyword, the monthly search volume, the CPC (a proxy for commercial value), whether the keyword triggers any SERP features, and whether the ranking has moved up or down since the last data refresh.

The position filter is particularly useful for identifying quick-win opportunities on your own domain. Keywords where you rank in positions 4–20 are "almost there" — they have established ranking signals but need incremental on-page improvements to break into the top 3. A targeted optimization push on these pages (updating content, improving internal linking, adding schema) can produce fast ranking gains without building new backlinks.

For competitor analysis, the goal is to find high-traffic keywords that competitors rank for but your domain doesn't. Export competitor keyword lists to CSV, remove your current rankings, and you have a prioritized content gap list sorted by traffic potential — the most efficient way to plan a content marketing calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many keywords can I see for a competitor domain?

Pro plan users can see up to 1,000 organic keywords per domain, while Agency plan users get up to 10,000. Keywords are sorted by estimated traffic contribution by default, so the highest-impact rankings appear first. You can filter and sort by position, volume, CPC, or difficulty.

What is the best way to use this tool for content gap analysis?

Run the Organic Keywords Finder for 2–3 competitors, export all results to CSV, and combine them into a master list. Remove keywords your own domain already ranks for. The remaining keywords are your content gaps — topics your competitors rank for that you don't. Sort these gaps by traffic potential to prioritize your content calendar.

Can I find keywords my own site ranks for but I didn't know about?

Yes. Running the Organic Keywords Finder on your own domain often surfaces 'accidental rankings' — keywords you rank for on page 1 or 2 that you've never actively optimized for. These are often the easiest quick wins: a small amount of on-page optimization can push a position 8–15 ranking onto page 1 and significantly increase traffic.
